Once again we have verified that great minds think alike: it was a pleasant surprise indeed to have my request fulfilled before I even sent it!

This Empire stuff is very interesting. From your description it seems to be heavily influenced by Conquest and apparently its authors have arrived independently at some of the same features we have been talking about. I will keep my eyes peeled for the Empire strategy book. Meanwhile, a quick summary of each piece would still be useful.
