You are not the first member to develop problems as a result of an altered home stack. The advantage of storing sounds in the home stack is that you only have to store them once instead of again and again in every new stack. The disadvantage, as we have seen, is that an innocent update can cause a seemingly unrelated silence throughout the archipelago.
I will try to remember to include a copy of the original initializer stack with your next shipment. That should do the trick.
