Voice Card  -  Volume 15  -  Paul Card Number 11  -  Wed, Jul 11, 1990 9:43 PM

This is ONE OF 2 responses to Vol 14 John 16 ("I could be BOWLING!")...

You're assuming that bowling and sex are mutually exclusive. This may be true in Suzanne's case; I suspect that in John's case the one *could* lead to the other (the concept of simultanaeity - is that a word, properly spelled? - is one I'd rather not dwell on).

Where was I? Oh yes:

STATISTICS

More meaningful than a long term average might be some sort of trend analysis. I don't have the patience to do a thorough job of this, but I did take a quick look at John's volume 14 voice cards only.

The result: I give him a (somewhat subjective) whopping 41% sex index for the most recent issue. This represents a clear increase, and suggests that he may be talking about NOTHING BUT sex in the not-too-distant future.

I leave it to the student of statistics to formalize the argument, analyze the raw data, and present the results.

N.B. I, personally, see NOTHING WRONG with John's "preoccupation", and report this only in the interest of science and statistics.

Also, I now see that the above calculations leave off John's Hello Card, with its CLEAR REFERENCES to sex, or at least romance (would anyone care to digress into the difference between the two?). My corrected number stands at 44%.
