Snazy Address Labels

Voice Card  -  Volume 22  -  John Card Number 16  -  Sun, Dec 22, 1991 10:39 PM

By now you will have already noticed Archipelago's snazy new address labels. Assuming our first trial run passes muster with the postal service we will use this new system from now on.

Instead of sending an outer packet and a return packet, I will just send a single packet. Inside the packet you will find a pre-printed peel-off label already stamped. When it comes time to return your packet, simply place the new label over the old and ship your transit disks back in the packet they came in.

[Normally, the return labels would be preprinted with address of command central. Since Betsy and I are currently living out of a suitcase, I have decided to leave the stickers blank and call you all up with our new address (as soon as we know what it is). Thank you in advance for your patience.]

This new system has several advantages. First, the pre-printed labels will save me a GREAT deal of time. They are easier to read and so less likely to be misdelivered. Sending one packet instead of two will reduce our postage costs and reduce waste. These new labels simultaneously save time, money, and the environment as well.

I hope you like the new packaging system. Please include any suggestions or comments with your next issue!
