Hmmm. Opening replies in a separate window, eh? What an interesting idea! I think it would be possible as long as the new reply card is in a different stack than the original card (which is usually the case for all you non-editors).

Opening a separate window is actually quite easy, but there are a whole slew of subsequent complications; it may also put a strain on memory-poor users. The real problem, however, is that I don't have a large monitor to test these things on.

Still, this is definitely do-able and I will put it on the ever-growing wish list.
