Fall in the Midwest

Voice Card  -  Volume 13  -  Larry Card Number 1  -  Thu, Feb 22, 1990 11:01 PM

This is a response to Vol 12 Stuart 1 ("Hallohioween")...

Being born and raised in Illinois, I have come to the conclusion that Halloween is much more of a holiday in the Midwest than in other places around the country. Hay rides, bonfires, and wiener roasts are all associated with my past experiences at Halloween (along with candy, soaping windows, firecrackers, etc.).

I suppose you can guess that I grew up in a rather small farm town in Illinois. You don't see many kids on hayrides in Chicago.
