TITLE: Tehanu - The Last Book of Earthsea
AUTHOR: Ursula K. Le Guin
PUBLISHER: Atheneum
COPYRIGHT: 1990

Ursula K. Le Guin is, simply, one of the best living fantasy writers. While she has written many novels, the Earthsea trilogy are easily the best:

  • The Wizard of Earthsea
  • The Tombs of Atuan
  • The Farthest Shore
Now, gloriously, fifteen or twenty years later, this trilogy is a trilogy no more.

What else can I say? I won't reveal any of the plot, except to say that the book is both sad and happy, and that Ged reappears along with all the important protagonists from the previous books.

One other thing: while the original trilogy were considered to be children's books, this one strikes me as more of an adult novel in some ways.

This one is a "must".
