I just completed my most recent "Paul Phenomenon" contribution in response to a card of Holly's, then read John's card on the same topic - with mention of his faith in my armchair analysis skills. I can't say exactly why, but somehow this makes me feel a little less confident about them, and particularly in relation to the current task.

For one thing, John says he has known Paul since grade school, whereas I have had encounters with him exactly twice. I wouldn't say this gives me much of an edge. At the same time, however, it's hard to resist offering my opinions.
