Just a few quick notes this time:

• Last issue I inadvertantly released a flawed copy of volume 8. The problem was subtle in its origin but played havok with Speed Reading Mode as Paul quickly discovered. Volume 8 has been repaired and I have taken steps to make sure this does not happen again. See Vol 9 John 4 for more details.
• I also fixed a problem in the hidden notebook button SO OBSCURE that no one would ever have noticed. But I noticed and now it's fixed!
• Paul did some grumbling about fonts, suggesting a sticky hyphen and special characters in the title font. I will try to remember to deal with these issues sometime soon.
• You may notice that the opening sequence into the main screen has been sped up a bit. The seagulls still squawk but at least the delay is less annoying. I may try for a completely new opening if ever Archipelago 2.0 gets off the ground (see Vol 9 John 3).
