This is ONE OF 2 responses to Vol 14 John 9 ("Sleep Chart")...
That is one heck of a project! In all honesty I can say that I have never even considered tracking my sleep habits. I assumed I ran on a 25 hour schedule (because I tend to stay up later and later each evening until a crash on the weekend where my sleep patterns vary considerably) which provided proof that humans are implants from some other planet that had a 25 hour cycle. (Sorry, it was a brief moment of silliness.)
I tried a small hypercard scripting exercise of my own. I reviewed the scripts on some of your cards as I have found the Apple Hypertalk manual difficult to use. (Could you suggest another reference book for me?) The two stacks are meant to track the progress (mostly financial) of the Avian Medical Center (AMC) and The CalAvian Lab by the week and month.
As you can see on the AMC stack, I didn't know how to finish the bottom section. I would like to have this section show either gross per doctor day or patient count per month. The year 1989 will already be filled and the current year should add one more month each time that month's calculations are done. How do I do this?
The CalAvian stack has a similar problem. I want a year report that does not disappear when we make a new card for the month.
What do you think about my first attempt at stack manipulations? (I would "go back to the books" if I had any!)
Your sleep monitoring is truly awesome.
